FAQ

Check-in is possible from 15:00. With self-service check-in you can decide for yourself what time you check in. Check-out is possible until 11:00.

But we are flexible. If you would like to check in earlier or check out later, view the options here.

Our hotel does not use a key or card system. We work standard with a “Slide to unlock” function via a Web App on your mobile phone or a 6-digit PIN code that you enter at the door. This WebApp and/or PIN code will be sent to you on the day of arrival via a WhatsApp or text message.

The hotel does not have its own car park. But we do have parking permits at a parking garage just 450 meters from the hotel. Paid parking on the street is also an option. Whichever option you choose, please come to the hotel first to drop off your luggage. Would you like to use our parking service, view the options here.

Zandvoort aan Zee train station is only a 2-minute walk from the hotel. Here you have a direct connection to Amsterdam Central as the end point. The train departs every half hour during the winter schedule, in the summer the train runs every 15 minutes.

Zandvoort aan Zee station is your ideal starting point for a city trip to:

  • Haarlem, travel time 11 minutes
  • Amsterdam, travel time 30 minutes
  • Schiphol, travel time 46 minutes with a transfer at Sloterdijk station
  • Alkmaar, travel time 1 hour and 6 minutes with a transfer in Haarlem

At the side of the hotel we have an enclosed and covered outdoor area where you can safely park your bicycle. There is also the possibility to charge your E-bike.

The entire hotel is equipped with free high-speed WiFi. A QR code in your suite automatically connects to the wireless network.

The deluxe breakfast is left on a tray at the door of your suite. Where you can have breakfast in your suite. If you want to know more about the breakfast options, view the options here.

On request, a baby bed including bed linen and blanket can be placed in your Suite. The cost for the use of the baby bed is a one-off fee of € 20 and for baby chair € 5.

It is not possible to bring your own baby bed/chair.

Pets are not allowed in the hotel.

The hotel itself does not have a fitness room. But don’t worry, just a 4 minute walk from our hotel we work together with a local fitness center.

We are a non-smoking hotel, which means that smoking is prohibited in all indoor areas. We have a terrace where you can smoke. Please note that a fine of €150 will be charged if you smoke inside the hotel. If the fire alarm goes off due to smoking in the Suite, the call-out costs of the fire brigade of €300 will be charged to you.

If canceled or modified up to 5 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged for individual bookings. If canceled or modified later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.

Covid info

Boutique hotel Margretha is a small-scale hotel where physical contact is kept to a minimum in the common area. During the renovation of the hotel in 2021, we have taken measures to make our hotel as corona proof as possible, such as:

  • Independent mechanical ventilation system with Co2 sensors per suite.
  • The ventilation system per suite ensures that the supply and exhaust of air is not spread to other suites.
  • The Co2 sensors in a suite ensure that the air is automatically refreshed.

Checking in is easy via a PIN code, so that you as a guest do not have to have physical contact. If you do want to check in at reception, we will do this at an appropriate distance according to the RIVM guidelines.

Don’t want staff in your suite for daily cleanup during your stay? You can make this known from your suite by pressing the button “Do not clean”. Our staff will not come in to freshen up your suite.
